IS THERE A MINIMUM SPEND OR HIRE FEE?
Not at all. But we will need a holding deposit when you book our larger areas, this is just to protect ourselves from no-shows or cancellations less than 7 days prior to the booking. We rely heavily on these bookings and it will be very hard to fill the big areas in less than 7 days.

HOW DO I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?
Nothing actually leaves your card, your card gets authenticated when you make the party booking and we claim the holding deposit only if you break any of the T&Cs which will be stated when you make the booking

IS THERE A DEPOSIT ON TABLE BOOKINGS
There is no deposits for table bookings for up to 15 people, but please let us know far in advance if you can not make it to give us a chance to fill the tables

HOW DO I AMEND OR CANCEL MY BOOKING?
You can do that straight from the confirmation e-mail that you received when making the booking

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF PEOPLE I CAN BOOK FOR?
The maximum 50 people, which would be allocated in the Garden Snug

CAN WE BOOK THE WHOLE PUB FOR A PRIVATE EVENT OR A WEDDING?
Sorry we do not offer the pub for exclusive hire because we do not want to upset our regulars by closing the pub. And we do not cater for weddings.

CAN WE BOOK A TABLE IN THE BEERGARDEN?
Sorry but as there's only a limited number of tables out there they are on a first come first served basis

IF YOU BOOK THE GARDEN SNUG, CAN YOU BOOK THE WHOLE GARDEN AS WELL?
The beergarden is for everyone to use and is not bookable, but you can of course spread out and use it as everyone else

IS THE GARDEN SNUG COLD IN WINTER?
There is a heater in there and we have snug bookings all year round, although when it gets below zero degrees it could get chilly

DO YOU SERVE FOOD?
No we stopped serving food in June 2022, and our kitchen was converted into a private karaoke room in 2023. But you can order pizza from Yard Sale straight to the pub every day of the week until 10pm

CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN FOOD, OR ORDER FOOD FROM SOMEONE ELSE THAN YARD SALE?
That is not possible am afraid

CAN WE BRING A CAKE?
Yes you can, but please be aware that we do not have plates, cutlery or cutting knife (we do not have a kitchen in the pub)

CAN WE PRE ORDER DRINKS BEFORE WE GET TO THE PUB?
​Sorry we do not offer pre-orders of drinks, all drinks are ordered and paid for at the bar 

CAN YOU ORDER IN SPECIAL DRINKS FOR US THAT ARE NOT ON YOUR MENU, SUCH AS CHAMPAGNE?
Sorry we do not offer that, too many times people have changed their mind or not showed up and we are left with unwanted stock

CAN WE SET UP A TAB FOR OUR PARTY?
Sorry we do not offer tabs, too many times people left without paying the tab off even after having their cards behind the bar 

CAN WE PUT UP DECORATIONS AND USE PARTY POPPERS?
Yes you can, as long as you do not use blue tac or anything that could damage the walls. Party poppers and confetti is a no-no as that takes forever to clean up, especially those balloons with glitter inside them

CAN WE PLAY OUR OWN MUSIC OR BRING A DJ?
Sorry that is not possible, but you can be rest assured that we always play banging music in The Kenton

DO YOU ALLOW DOGS
We love dogs as long as they are on a lead and don't sit on our furniture

DO YOU ALLOW KIDS?
Kids, babies and under 18s are allowed until 5pm. Kids must be seated at all times, and we do not have high chairs or changing facilities   

BUT OUR FRIENDS HAVE BOOKED A LARGE AREA, CAN WE NOT JUST BRING OUR LITTLE BABY IN A PRAM AS THEY WILL BE SLEEPING MOST OF THE TIME?
Sorry, we are strictly not allowing anyone under 18 years old after 5pm.

Yes of course. We accept all kinds of cards including American Express
