FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will you be showing the England games on every screen?
Yes. The match will be shown live on all 6 screens throughout the pub inside and outside
Will you have commentary on for the England games?
Yes. There will be commentary inside the Garden Snug and in Thor's Room from when the TV coverage starts. And inside the main pub area from the national anthems. There will be no commentary from the garden TV
What about screens and commentary for the other non-England games?
Which screens we show each game on, and if commentary or not are listed at the bottom of this page
What time should I arrive?
We can’t give an exact time, as it depends on how quickly people arrive on the day. Our advice is simply: the earlier, the better.
What time will you reach capacity?
Unfortunately, we don’t know
Will you post on social media when you’ve reached capacity?
Yes. We’ll update our social media channels when we reach capacity, so if you’re planning to come later it’s worth checking before you travel.
My friend has saved me a seat. Why can’t I come in after you’ve reached capacity?
Unfortunately, once we have reached our maximum capacity, we cannot admit any more guests.
It doesn’t matter whether anyone has saved you a seat or standing space. Once the pub is full, no further entry is possible.
If you’re planning to come as a group, we strongly recommend arriving together.
My friends are already inside. Can I still come in?
Only if we haven’t reached capacity. Once we are full, we cannot admit any more guests, regardless of whether friends are already inside.
Will you have standing room?
Yes, there will be standing areas available. However, once we reach our legal capacity, we cannot admit any additional guests, whether they want a seat or standing room
There is still standing room in parts of the pub. Why can’t more people come in?
Our decision to stop entry isn’t simply about reaching a legal capacity limit.
We also want everyone already inside to have a safe and enjoyable experience. Keeping some space available allows our team to move around the pub safely, serve customers efficiently, and avoid excessive crowding around the bar and walkways.
We know it can be disappointing if you can’t get in, but we’d rather provide a great matchday experience than squeeze in as many people as possible.
If someone leaves, can I come in?
No, after we have reached capacity we will operate an exit only policy
Can I leave and come back?
Once we have reached capacity there will be no re-entries
Can I book a table?
No. Seating is first come, first served.
Can I bring children?
No. The Kenton operates as an 18+ venue, so all guests must be 18 or over
Are all fans welcome?
Absolutely. We welcome supporters of all teams, and everyone is welcome at The Kenton as long as they are 18 or over. We want everyone to enjoy the match in a friendly and respectful atmosphere
Can I queue outside before you open?
Yes. You’re welcome to queue before we open. Please be considerate of our neighbours and avoid blocking the pavement or nearby entrances
There’s a heatwave in London. How hot will the pub be?
We have air conditioning inside the pub, which helps keep the temperature comfortable. However, with a full house and lots of supporters, it will still feel warm.
Our beer garden can get very hot during the daytime, especially in direct sunshine, although it becomes much more comfortable later in the evening.
We recommend dressing for the weather, bringing a handheld or neck fan if you have one, and staying hydrated throughout the day. Our team will be working hard to keep the drinks flowing!
Why are you so strict?
Your safety is our priority. We must comply with our licensed occupancy limits and ensure the pub remains safe and comfortable for everyone inside. Unfortunately, this means we cannot make exceptions once we have reached capacity.
